The instant he saw her come through the soft, white curtain, he knew, she was his…forever!
It was an unusually warm day on the last Saturday of September, but it didn’t matter. Dee & Adam’s wedding day was PERFECT!!! From the incredible flowers, to the small unique details, and the perfectly crafted arbor that Adam created. Everything about their wedding was flawless!!!
Dee and Adam had their magical outdoor ceremony and reception at Farrar Hill Farms, in Manchester, TN. Michelle, and the entire team, was so pleasant to work with.
When I took a tour of the venue back in August, I loved the old barn on the property. It was so rustic and charming. I knew I couldn’t wait to photograph Dee & Adam’s fall wedding.
As soon as I arrived, the entire place smelled incredible! Between the gorgeous flowers, and yummy wedding and grooms cake (which had a giant chocolate chip cookie on top! YUM!), delicious scents filled the air!
Dee and Adam had classic southern wedding favors- RC Cola & Moon Pies! If you’ve not tried either, you absolutely MUST! How could you NOT have moon pies when your last name is Moon!
Dee wanted to make sure she had the perfect boho elegant wedding. She added her own unique touches such as a decorative moon macramé hanging on the arbor, and colorful rugs instead of flower petals or an aisle runner.
Adam also added his special touches to their wedding- he built the arbor!! How amazing is that?!
The girls had hair and make-up done off-site, and finished getting ready at the venue. Not only did the bridesmaids have robes, but the Mother’s of the bride and groom had their own special robes. So thoughtful!!
The ceremony was so beautiful. The sun had just tipped below the barn, which created such beautiful light.
Dee’s dad assisted in officiating the wedding, and she had her special friend Sophia read a Bible verse and poem.
After the ceremony, I captured some husband and wife (I just LOVE saying that after weddings!!) sunset portraits! Y’all! That sunlight was ever so glowy! Just before Dee and Adam headed over to the reception, they decided to take a swing! Oh my goodness, they are the couple you want to invite to all of your parties and get togethers. They are just SO FUN!!
As a surprise to the couple, the minister had Dee and Aimee’s 98 year old grandfather sign the marriage license! This was such a special touch! I’m so thankful the Minister surprised them with this. Adam’s friend, Nick, played the guitar and sang the song “Beyond”, which they chose as their first dance.
With champagne toasts, Best Man and Maid of Honor speeches, Father-Daughter, Mother-Son dances (Dee’s dad had the moves!!), delicious BBQ with all the fixins, dancing the night away with some of their dearest friends and family, and a sparkly send off to Greece, Dee & Adam’s wedding day was nothing short of AMAZING!!!
Congratulations Mr. And Mrs. Moon! I am so honored to have captured your very special day!
Both mom’s got their own robes with “Mother of…” embroidered on them! How sweet!
How could you not tear up looking at these images!? Such precious moments between Dee & her mom!
Adam and his groomsmen, got ready in a quaint Air BnB. One of the BEST things about it…the ping pong table!! Who doesn’t love ping pong?!
The guys were so relaxed and enjoyed playing a “friendly” game. (Don’t be fooled though. There was some stiff competition happening here! HA!)
Check out Adam’s suit! Such fantastic color with pops of pink and gray!
Dee’s flowers were absolutely INCREDIBLE! I remember walking in to the reception area & the fragrance of the florals lit up the room!! I wished I could bottle the scent and have it in my house!
Adam built this arbor by hand. Check out the personal touches like the moon and the boho rug! Even the aisle was made of rugs!
This sunset light was amazing!!
A very special thank you to all of the vendors that helped make Dee & Adam’s day so very wonderful!
