Are you looking for the ultimate Destination Nashville, Tennessee senior photos? You’re come to the right place! Whether you’re a Nashville native or traveling to Music City for that one-of-a-kind vibe, Nashville has several unique spots to make your senior portraits unforgettable. Let’s talk about creating the perfect itinerary for an epic destination senior photo session featuring some of the city’s most iconic locations.

Laryn had talked about having her senior photos taken in Nashville for TWO YEARS, so when the time came, her mom contacted me about getting her daughter’s senior photos taken in Nashville this summer. She had an AMAZING vision of what she wanted! With her vision and my knowledge of the BEST locations in Nashville, we created a one-of-a-kind experience that she and her family will never forget!

Downtown Nashville Parking Lot: Chevrolet Camaro

Laryn and her family drove down from Indiana to make her Destination Nashville Senior Photo vision come to life! We started in an empty parking lot, to showcase her sleek, high-shine, inky-black Chevrolet Camaro. When I arrived, Laryn’s dad was giving it a quick once-over with a soft microfiber towel to make sure every last spot and fingerprint was removed. The car was SO SHINY! It reflected the sun’s light brilliantly! When you have a car like this, you HAVE to include it in your senior photos! Laryn arrived wearing the cutest off-the-shoulder, cherry-red crop top, jet-black leather pants, and bright red heels. It was the PERFECT outfit for this portion of her senior session. Her makeup was FLAWLESS and her skin looked airbrushed!

Pedestrian Bridge

After wrapping up with her sleek Camaro in the parking lot, Laryn did a quick outfit change into the cutest distressed jeans, a chic camel-colored halter top with fringe, and HOLY COW the most fabulous gold sparkly boots (borrowed from her sister—sibling style points!). Next, we headed up to the top of the iconic Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville for some killer shots! While we were in the parking lot, we had a soft breeze, however, on top of the bridge, the wind picked up- which made for some AMAZING wind-blown hair shots! Sadly, we could not go under the bridge, as that section was closed off due to filming a Monster Energy Commercial.

Cumberland Park

From the Pedestrian Bridge, we walked over to Cumberland Park. Cumberland Park is an urban park along the Cumberland River. It is a great location if you want a touch of nature mixed with the Nashville Skyline peeking through. Walking through the park, we stopped for some great shots on the bridge. This location is perfect as the trees create a beautiful canopy.

Printer’s Alley

After we left Cumberland Park, we caravaned to Printer’s Alley. Printer’s Alley is an iconic Nashville, Tennessee location. Steeped in rich musical heritage and past-time speakeasies, Printer’s Alley is a prime choice for your Destination Nashville Senior Photos, as it showcases Nashville’s unique, retro atmosphere with a modern twist. When we arrived, Laryn had changed into the cutest sleeveless vintage Nashville t-shirt, denim miniskirt, and boots! It was the perfect outfit for her Printer’s Alley location portion. I was thankful that there weren’t lots of tourists here, as this location tends to be jammed packed on weekends.

Wings Mural: What Lifts You

While we were planning all of the must-see locations in Nashville, her mom Melody, told me about battling cancer and that Laryn wanted to honor her Mother’s strength, perseverance, and determination to beat cancer. She LOVED the idea of using the What Lifts You wings mural in The Gulch. After hearing about Mom’s treatment and everything she went through, I firmly believe there needs to be a Superwoman statue dedicated to Melody! Wow! Before we traveled to the Gulch, Laryn changed into her cancer survivor t-shirt and tied her hair into a cute ponytail. I love that she also wore her glasses in these images. I also had mom jump in some of these images to remind her just how strong and resilient SHE was!

Hieroglitches Mural

This is such a fun, quirky, and unique location in Nashville. Tucked away in a tiny alley, most people miss it as they walk by. This mural/alleyway blends ancient hieroglyphic symbolism with modern graffiti style. It’s so different and peculiar. Laryn chose denim shorts and a one-sleeve brown and white print top. She wore her stylish glasses, and kept her hair pinned up. I barely had to give her any direction on posing as she is such a natural!

Centennial Park

Centennial Park-one of my FAVORITE locations! There is so much beauty and history in this location. With its winding pathways, willow trees, and flower gardens, Centennial Park is the perfect location if you are considering a Destination Nashville Senior Photo session. The Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition was held here in 1897 to celebrate the state’s 100th birthday, and while almost all of the buildings are gone, you can still see remnants of the expedition such as The Parthenon and Lake Watauga. I was excited that Laryn and her family had not visited the park during one of their many trips to Nashville, and they got to experience some of the wonders Centennial Park has to offer. The flowers were still in bloom, and the light was perfect near the bridge. Laryn looked like she was in the middle of a French countryside garden. It was PERFECT! Laryn wore a floor-length white dress, with small blue flowers and her blue and white Nike high-tops. I love that she chose athletic shoes with her floral dress! She wore her hair down and kept her glasses on in some of her images.

The Parthenon

After we spent time at Centennial Park, we made our way to The Parthenon. The Parthenon is a life-sized replica of the Parthenon in Greece. With its behemothic sand-colored columns, twenty-four feet high bronze doors, and a forty-two-foot size statue of Athena inside, the Parthenon is one of Nashville’s MUST-DO locations for senior pictures! Laryn posed effortlessly, and knew all of her best angles (hint- she has no bad angles!). Did you know that when the sun starts to set, the sand-colored columns take on a bit of a pink hue? The Parthenon was a great ending to Laryn’s Destination Nashville Senior Photo session.

After Laryn’s senior photo session, I chatted with her family for a few minutes. They told me they love visiting Nashville and do so a few times a year. Laryn’s family was so sweet and kind. I could have talked to them for hours! Unfortunately, they had to get back on the road to Indiana that night, as Laryn had school the next day. Oops! I hope I didn’t make her sleepy in class! After high school, Laryn plans on attending college and working as a child psychologist. She currently works with children with special needs and loves every minute! Laryn, I know you are going to do great things with your career and wonderfully impact the lives of children. To the Faulk Family: Please let me know when you are back in Nashville! We’ll grab some Nashville Hot Chicken. My treat!
