This spring and summer brought more than their fair share of rain, over ten inches above average, and lots of flooding. Therefore, we scheduled the Senior Team’s cap & gown and college t-shirt photos as separate sessions. With everyone’s busy schedules, I photographed each senior individually. Several weeks ago, I had the chance to photograph Kenzie’s high school graduation photos in Lebanon, TN, just before she packed up for East Tennessee State University. Thankfully, the weather was nice, with not a drop of rain in sight!
Kenzie is attending East Tennessee State University, pursuing Criminal Justice with a focus on Psychology and Criminal Behavior, with the long-term goal of working for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). During her session, Kenzie and I talked ALL about podcasts, books, and tv shows that focus on reading body language, criminal interrogation, and criminal psychology. I may have introduced her to a few new ones as well!
Kenzie is laser-focused about her vision for her future and is already ahead of the game, heading into her Freshman year with several college credits under her belt. Kenzie paid homage to her Grandfather by bringing along her grandfather’s Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) badge and handcuffs. It was such a powerful way to honor his legacy while also celebrating the beginning of her own path in law enforcement. I know he would be incredibly proud to see her chasing her dreams with the same dedication and courage. If you look closely, his badge number is “1-2-3″…. “ABC-123” HA!
I loved photographing her in both her cap and gown as well as her ETSU t-shirt. And look at her fun ETSU props she brought! Kenzie is so laid back in front of the camera, and it was easy to see how passionate she is about where she’s headed.
Keep going to see all about Kenzie’s high school graduation photos.

Kenzie, it has been such a pleasure to photograph you this year. Your dedication, hard work, and faith in God will open so many doors for you. I can’t wait to see all that you accomplish at ETSU and beyond. I’m so glad you were on my team!
