Planning a Mother-Daughter Girls Trip in Nashville? Imagine this: you and your daughter are heading to Nashville because she has been BEGGING to have her senior photos taken in ICONIC locations. Nothing beats a great girls’ trip! From long day trips to overnight stays. Nashville is becoming one of the fastest-growing spots for girls’ weekends, bachelorette parties, and Mother-Daughter getaways! Find out why a Mother-Daughter Girls Trip in Nashville is a great place to explore for senior photos.

Traveling to Nashville

Getting to Nashville is relatively easy. The Nashville International Airport- BNA- is centrally located to almost everything. Once you land, you can be sitting at the popular honkey tonks or standing on Lower Broadway in just about 30 minutes. Airlines flying into Nashville are: Southwest, Alaska Airlines, American, Delta, United, Allegiant, Spirit, JetBlue, and Frontier, with many offering non-stop service. Traveling by car?

Stroll Through 12 South

Grab coffee at Frothy Monkey, shop cute boutiques, and snap a selfie by some of Nashville’s famous murals, like the pink LoveshackFancy mural or blue & white striped Draper James mural. It’s a MUST-DO for moms and daughters who love a mix of style and fun.

Visit the Country Music Hall of Fame

Explore Nashville’s musical roots together. The interactive exhibits and stunning memorabilia make this an experience you’ll both enjoy.

Shop & Dine at The Mall at Green Hills

Perfect for outfit-hunting or just treating yourselves to a little retail therapy, followed by a delicious meal at one of the mall’s upscale restaurants.

Walk the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge

Take in the views of the Nashville skyline. This scenic walk is especially magical at sunset and a great way to slow down together. Look for pockets of pop-outs to have a space all to yourself! And don’t forget to head to the other side of the bridge and snap some photos with the Korean Veterans Bridge in the background.

Enjoy Sweet Treats at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams

Indulge in unique flavors like Brambleberry Crisp or Brown Butter Almond Brittle. It’s a fun stop after a day of photos or shopping. Find their locations in 12 South, East Nashville, and at the Nashville Farmer’s Market.

Explore Cheekwood Estate & Gardens

Wander through immaculate gardens and art installations. Cheekwood is perfect for moms and daughters who enjoy beauty, nature, and a little history. But be prepared; the property sits on 55 acres, and trust me, you’ll want to see it all. Now’s the time to lace up your most comfy shoes. Spent all day walking and need a quick snack? Cafe 29 is on property and serves coffee, soups, sandwiches and pastries.

Attend a Show at The Grand Ole Opry

Make your trip extra memorable with a night of live music at Nashville’s most iconic stage. A great way to celebrate senior year together. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself snapping pics of a few unexpected guests. It’s always an extra treat when additional musicians show up.

Browse Five Daughters Bakery

Treat yourselves to one of their famous 100-layer donuts. It’s an experience as much as it is a sweet tooth fix. Layers upon layers of sweet, flaky croissant-style doughnuts. You’ll be dreaming about these for days to come! Stop by one of their locations at 12 South, L & L Market, East Nashville, 5th & Broadway, The Gulch, and The Factory in Franklin.

Take a Stroll Through Centennial Park

Stop by a delightful French bakery and cafe, such as Cocorico, Paris Baguette, or D’Andrews Bakery, and craft the perfect picnic lunch. You’ll feel like you are in a European park as you eat your treats among the flowers and willow trees, or stroll along the water’s edge and explore the Parthenon replica. It’s a great way to unwind in the middle of the city. Don’t forget to head inside and see the 42-foot-tall statue of Athena. The little guy she’s holding in her hand? That’s Nike, and he stands at six feet tall.

Experience Pinewood Social

This trendy spot combines dining, bowling, and lounging, an ideal place for moms and daughters who want something unique and laid-back.

Listen to Music at The Mother Church: Ryman Auditorium

The Ryman is a great place to catch a show! And with not a bad seat in the house, the acoustics and church pews make it a great place to settle in and get cozy! If you can’t catch a show, don’t skip out on the Backstage Tour.

Henrietta Red Brunch

If you are a brunch babe, you don’t want to miss out on Henrietta Red. They have an extensive brunch menu, including items like scones, French Toast, Monkey Bread, Quiche, and Croque Madame. And if you are an oyster gal, they’ve got those too!
