In the summer of 2021, I had an inquiry from a bride about her spring wedding. We set up a zoom call & “met” to chat about her wedding. As soon as she signed on & we started talking, I KNEW she was going to be so much fun! She was bubbly, personable, outgoing and so precious! We chatted for over an hour and I told her to check out other photographers to make absolutely sure, as your photographer spends the ENTIRE day with you. (I tell all my brides that, as choosing your wedding photographer is a BIG decision!) Even though she told me she wanted me as her photographer, I told her to talk to Drew about it, pray over it & give it three days. She told me later that she didn’t talk to any other photographers, but she waited three days just to seem like she did! HAHAHA!!

The first time I met Allie & Drew together, it was like meeting old friends. When we got out of the car at Steeplechase, we laughed and hugged like we had known each other for years! Drew even hugged me, which is not typical for the grooms, as they are more into a handshake. But I knew before even having a conversation with him, that Drew was just as awesome as Allie! We laughed and had a great time during their engagement session!

One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is all of the wonderful relationships formed! And can I just say how much Drew absolutely ADORES Allie?! Oh my gosh! The way he would look at her during their session… WOW!

They were the BEST!! We started out at Steeplechase, and ended at Drew’s family farm. Acres and acres of trees, a pond, a barn and mossy rocks covered the property. It was GORGEOUS! I can only imagine how peaceful it is in the early morning hours. I even met their cute doggie Hope! We chatted for over 30 minutes AFTER their session! They told me about how they met & so many great times they have had already. During our conversation, they told me how much FUN they had during their engagement session! I LOVE hearing this!

They are SO EXCITED to get married! I left well after dark, and was sad that I wouldn’t be seeing them until their wedding next spring.

May can’t get here fast enough! 

After we left Steeplechase, we headed to Drew’s family farm. Gorgeous acres of hills, trees, a pond, barn and mossy rocks.
