Due to the abnormally wet May and June that we had, (we were TEN INCHES above average!) I had to break up the Senior Team’s Cap & Gown & College T-shirt photos. Because of their busy schedules, we scheduled everyone’s session separately. A few weeks ago, I had the joy of photographing Leyla’s senior cap & gown and college t-shirt session in Lebanon, TN. Just TWO DAYS before she packed up for Western Kentucky University, we were able to squeeze in her session to celebrate her amazing accomplishments and exciting future. I loved that she brought along her poms and rally towel, and we incorporated them into her photos.

This fall, Leyla will be attending Western Kentucky University, where she’ll be studying Health Science with plans on becoming a Physician’s Assistant (PA). Her long-term dream is to open her own salon and specialize in aesthetics—a perfect blend of her love for science, beauty, health, and creativity. It was such an honor to capture her in both her classic black cap and gown as well as her Hilltoppers t-shirt.

On top of her academics, Leyla will also be a part of the All-Girl WKU cheerleading squad, where she will cheer at both football and basketball games. Her passion, dedication, and energy shine through not only on the sidelines, but also in front of the camera. It’s clear that whether she’s pursuing her studies, leading her team, or planning her future business, Leyla gives 110% to every goal she sets.

From celebrating high school graduation to embracing the excitement of moving to campus, her photos are a reminder of this sweet in-between moment—saying goodbye to high school while stepping into a brand-new adventure.

Leyla, you have been such a bright spot on the team this year. Your upbeat personality, hard work, determination, and faith in Christ will carry you far in life! I know you are going on to do AMAZING things! I can’t wait to see you cheering on the sidelines! Let me know when your Aesthetic Salon opens up- I’ll be first in line!
