Where do I even begin! The love story like Allie & Drew’s makes me smile.

If I could describe Allie & Drew in just one word, it would be PRECIOUS! Their hearts for the Lord, their devotion to their families, and the absolute unwavering love for each other. With all three of these things combined, Allie & Drew’s wedding day was PERFECT! Between the laughs, tears, jokes, dances, cheers and incredible weather, it was perfect! Allie & Drew married in Kings’ Chapel, one of Tennessee’s beautiful historical sites. Per their info, the chapel has been reconstructed from its original footprint in 1804. It’s a lovely brick building with worn wooden floors and a stunning cross at the end of the aisle. A perfect place to speak your vows among family & friends.

When I arrived, Allie and her friends were sipping champagne, laughing, eating yummy snacks and listening to music. The girls all had cute bridesmaids robes and Allie had a customized bridal robe. Allie chose to do a dress reveal to her girls which turned into cheers, squeals and tears. It was the sweetest thing! I’m not sure who cheered the loudest, but I’m going to go with her sister Anna. Allie was crying tears of joy as the girls cheered and screamed. I adored this moment! Drew and his groomsmen got ready off-site.

Allie’s Aunt was the florist and created the most stunning cream-colored bouquet, all of the centerpieces, chapel florals, and florals that adorned the gorgeous wooden cross. Allie also had specific details that were very important to her. For example, she wore her Aunt’s Birkenstock shoes- the ones her Aunt wore for the last time as she walked into the hospital but sadly never walked out. In addition to her shoes, Allie had a piece of her Aunt’s lace from her wedding dress wrapped around her bouquet. She also wore her Grandmother’s cross necklace and blue ring, her mom’s diamond earrings, and Drew carried his Grandfather’s pocket watch.

It was incredibly touching to watch the couple appreciate the treasures of their loved ones. They also had vow booklets, which included their hand-written words to each other!

After her dress reveal, we headed down to do her first look with her dad. She told me earlier that her dad would probably cry, however, I think Allie shed more tears than dad did. It was the sweetest moment and what made it even better is that her mom was there to witness it all. When Allie’s dad turned around to see his little girl, she started crying, while her dad had the biggest smile! Allie’s mom was crying too. It was so precious to watch her share this special moment with her dad as her mom looked on.

Drew and Allie chose a first touch and prayer. As they each took turns during the prayer, they both started crying. From there we moved immediately into their first look. Drew’s reaction when he turned back to Allie was magical. He was so in awe of her! As Allie made her way toward him, she started crying, which made Drew start crying, and then I started crying! WHEW! What an emotional moment!

When it came time for Allie to walk down the aisle Drew was nervous yet excited. Allie stood with her father just outside the doors, waiting. Waiting to walk down the aisle into her forever! Allie’s father escorted her down the aisle to Stevie Wonder’s instrumental version of “Isn’t She Lovely.” Tears welled up in her eyes as her father kissed her cheek and handed her over to Drew.

The minister invited the family to take a moment to rise and give their blessing to the marriage. He had known Allie for a long time and shared funny stories about her growing up in the church and soon he came to learn more about Drew.

Many tears were shed when they recited their vows.  Drew spoke with such conviction and emotion when he promised her forever. As the tears ran down his cheeks, Allie could not stop crying. Allie was equally as emotional as Drew when it came time for her to read her vows.

Mr. and Mrs. Crawford was introduced at the reception and immediately proceeded into their first dance, Randy Travis’s “Forever & Ever Amen.” Following that, Allie danced with her father to Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely.” They also began with a champagne toast before dancing and celebrating with their friends and family on the dance floor.

Allie and Drew served cake pops and Crumbl Cookies instead of a traditional wedding cake. After a few spins on the dance floor, Drew whisked Allie away as they ended their wedding day with an exciting glow stick exit to cheers and clapping from their loved ones. The day was perfect in every way! Full of love, laughter, tears and joy!

Allie and Drew, thank you for inviting me to capture your fairy tale!

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Crawford!

Allie’s Aunt’s favorite shoes- her Birkenstocks. She wore them everywhere. Although her Aunt could not be there in person, she helped escort her down the aisle.
