What better backdrop for Mackenzie’s senior session than Nashville’s Ellington Agricultural Center? This sprawling oasis, with its diverse landscapes and charming features, provides the perfect canvas for creating stunning senior portraits any time during the year.

Nestled in the heart of Nashville, Ellington Agricultural Center is a hidden gem that offers a picturesque blend of natural beauty and architectural charm. Encompassing over 200 acres, this urban oasis is home to lush gardens, open fields, wooded trails, and historic buildings. When Mackenzie chose this location, I KNEW her senior session would be nothing short of AMAZING! Although, the fall leaves hadn’t turned quite yet, this October day was filled with golden sunlight, warm air and dancing yellow leaves surrounding the water. When the fall season begins at Ellington Agricultural Center, the landscape transforms into a kaleidoscope of warm hues, making it an ideal location for a senior photo session.

When I met Mackenzie and her mom at Ellington Agricultural Center for her senior session, she had several outfits, however, the one that stood out was her bright cranberry dress. I just knew it would look spectacular with the golden glow of the leaves, as well as give a great color pop on the gray rock bed.

We made our way down to the creek and thankfully the water was low enough for her to stand and sit on the rocks. The gorgeous glow of the light shone through the yellow trees and lit everything perfectly! After spending an hour at the creek, we made our way to the white house, and then an outfit change before heading to the open area in front of the house. One last outfit change and we headed to the white barn and fence. Those last images with the soft colors in the sky, were the perfect backdrop for her senior images. The water was cold, but she still had fun splashing around in it.

I just love how her cranberry-colored dress pops off the white wooden walls, and her lipstick matches perfectly!

These cotton candy skies were incredible, and the perfect end to Mackenzie’s senior session!

I could have photographed Mackenzie for another hour, but her session had come to a close; the sun had set & sadly we were out of light. Mackenzie, I am SO GLAD you are one of my spokesmodels this year, and hope you have had a great time being on my team!
